If you're a fan of great rose you'll be delighted by this latest release from a former cape young winemaker of the year. It's tingling with vibrant strawberry and raspberry fruit. Rose has made a come back in recent years pleasing both red and white wine lovers alike. Its all therage in the cape too which prompted the multi award-winning bergsig estate in worcester to add make this beauty from premium shiraz fruit. On the opposite side of the de toitskloof mountains from paarl and stellenbosch, it's cooler and drier and the climate is ideal for fresh and fruity rose styles. Sixth generation winemaker de wet lategan describes this 2007 as "classic rose colour with crushed strawberry aromas and flavours of spic an red berries crisp, refreshing and long..". Enjoy at its youthful best with canapes vegetarian dishes, seafood salads, or tuna. |
