The fruit is picked when the fruit ripens during the height of the south african summer. It's then distilled into liquor and added to the highest-quality cream to make amarula cream.Ripe marula fruit is a favorite of elephants, so the tree must be picked before the elephants have a chance to strip the tree bare of fruit! but there is enough for both parties, and the elephant is a prominent symbol of this brand. |
